Expressions of Birth

Expressions of Birth

Voices ache with need

Essential touches are buried

While veiled initially

A feather becomes an eagle

Wings and claws sweep me into the sky

Once cradled within

Nestling  me to a nest

Waiting to be brought warmth

An incubation of self

Breathing is deep and long

I will no longer struggle with my shell

I crack to awaken who I really am.
